  • Managing a Kosme (Krones) 12 head counter pressure canning line and its HF Meyer periphery (depalletizer, rinser, …)
    Packaging beer into cans & kegs
  • Efficiently operate canning line equipment including but not limited to labeler, rinser, filler, seamer, depalletizer, line supporting equipment, conveyance, packaging code printers and package inspection equipment
  • Assembling trays, feeding empty cans into depalletizer, palletizing trays and moving completed pallets to cold storage
  • Setup of filling machines and beer lines for CIP & packaging
  • CIP and purging of BBTs and lines
  • Ensuring and measuring quality and consistency
  • Sensory analysis of beers
  • Closely monitoring final beer and being able to identify quickly discrepancies
  • Verify that beers are in spec for packaging and ensuring all beer meets target specs
  • Ensuring beer is packaged to specification by setting up packaging lines all the way through to performing & recording packaging quality checks, such as seam integrity and total pack oxygen
  • Maintaining accurate production records
  • QA/QC responsibilities
  • Lab work (yeast cell count and viability analysis)
  • Follow the production schedule to ensure orders are met on time and in the proper packaging materials
  • Moving pallets, packaging and product
  • Management and tracking of packaging inventory
  • Confident leading, supervising, coaching and training a team and assisting all production staff
  • Lead by example and utilize team-work skills to help the support team work together to increase production throughput and efficiency
  • Participating with brewery staff in all production processes
  • Maintain an open dialogue with production staff, owners, and sales staff regarding all aspects
  • Continuous improvement of brewery operations
  • Researching and implementing industry trends
  • Development and maintenance of SOPs and ensuring they are being followed by all employees
  • Plant & equipment maintenance
  • Utilize mechanical and troubleshooting capabilities to tune equipment, clean equipment, and maintain equipment so minimal downtime is accrued
  • Identify problems on the line and notify management as needed for repair
  • Maintaining safety compliance requirements
  • Keep all packaging and storage areas sanitized, organized and clean
  • General brewhouse cleaning, including floors, piping, tank exteriors, …
  • Assist in weekend duty rotations
  • Willingness to take on tasks outside the scope of a Lead Packaging Line Operator
  • Brewing assistance and willingness to operate the brewhouse and cellar


  • Minimum three years professional packaging line experience
  • Excellent teamwork abilities
  • Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment and maintain attention to detail while managing time to meet production goals
  • Experience with brewery operation systems (preferably Botec F1)
  • Experience in managing a brewery
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering
  • Strong sensory analytics
  • Refined, educated and knowledgeable palate with deep understanding of off flavor compounds and knowledge of beer styles
  • Data-driven & experimental mindset with a thirst for knowledge
  • Meticulous attention to detail

  • Familiarity with Google G Suite (Docs, Sheets, Gmail)
  • Experience with CO2 / O2 measuring devices (C-Box, Pentair)
  • Brewery lab experience is a plus
  • Operating a brewhouse is a plus
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift
  • Cleaning, purging and filling Kegs
  • Experience filling KeyKegs is a plus
  • Ability to work in a clean and organized manner
  • Ability to safely handle hazardous chemicals in accordance with strict safety protocols
  • Ability to safely and repeatedly lift 30 kg to shoulder height
  • Willingness to travel the world occasionally to represent our brewery with knowledge, enthusiasm and hospitality at special events or festivals is a plus
  • Physical demands: Daily climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, working at height, dragging hoses, moving pumps, lifting bags of grains, boxes of hops and full kegs for several hours a day. Tolerating being exposed to wed and/or cold conditions. This is a rewarding role and will require you to be on your feet and mobile at all times. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to maintain and regain balance.
